A boat ride to explore the untouched and remarkable beauty of this territory along with its rich flora and fauna. The tour will be a mixture of discovery between nature, history and stories which makes the blue discovery line feel like an open-air museum.
The return is expected to be around 6:00-6:30 PM.
Blue discovery line: the itinerary
The cruise will take you along the Arbatax coast where you will see the Islet of Ogliastra, a group of rocks that is a protected zone full of local vegetation, where wildlife is thriving. The landscape opens up into coarse lower hill ranges that offer sights, which make you want to slow down and fully experience them. From this perspective, you will comprehend why this part of Sardinia is called “island within the island”.
Moving northward to Baunei, we will pause at some landmarks like Pedra Longa, the bay of Baus, and Punta Giradili, slowly sailing to fully enjoy one of the European wildest panorama. We will glide past the wall of the Colombi cave caverns, a chance to encounter the evolution of the region and discover the significance of this place, of its plant and animal life. Rounding of cape Montesanto will mark the entrance to the gulf of Orosei, renowned for its majestic cliffs plunging into the sea—, with stratigraphy bearing witness to geological activity. We will also discover portu Quau and portu Pedrosu, the renowned cala Goloritzé, and the beach of the submarine springs. We’ll also stop to admire the fossil sea level, the entrance to the Fico cave, and the pools of Venus.
The day will be completed with a swim at cala Biriala and a long stop at cala Sisine, where you’ll have time to swim, enjoy a snack, explore the surroundings, take a nap, or relax with a crossword or a card game.
Blue discovery line: the caves
We will take you to discover the mysterious tunnels of a million of years old land to discover a unique and fascinating world. For a visit to the Fico Cave the entrance fee is charged separately.

An environmental contribution of € 1.00 is asked by the Association "Costa di Baunei"; its destination is to improve quality of services the association intend to offer, such as assistance on the beaches, more and more safe moorings for tourists, the cleaning of sandy shores and their protection and conservation over time.
